Domaine Haegi, since the 18th century

The Haegi family has lived in Alsace since the 18th century. In 1949, they changed their business when Charles Haegi came to Mittelbergheim and married his second wife Marguerite Bronner, a winegrower's daughter from the village. Bernard Haegi, born in 1932, continued the work of his father Charles. He married Emmy Wittmann, also a winegrower's daughter from Mittelbergheim, and transformed the business into a real winery. Their son Daniel, born in 1965, joined the family business in 1985 after completing studies in winemaking and oenology. He married Sylvie Schwartz, also from an Alsatian winegrower's family.

More information about this delicious juice

Taste
Rich and sultry, wonderful to dream away. Ripe tropical fruits such as lychee, peach and mango, honey and nuts, roses, spicy notes. Slender acids keep the wine fresh and invigorating. Serve: 8-10 C. Drink: now until 2025.

Delicious with
Dishes with complex flavours such as Asian and Arabic cuisine with lots of herbs and/or spiciness. But a Munster cheese also works well. And sauerkraut of course.

Interesting
The grapes for this Cuvée Prestige wine have been selected with extra rigour.
In France it is written Gewurztraminer, in German speaking countries Gewürztraminer. In Baden the grape is also called Clevner. Another synonym is Roter Traminer.
