Puligny-Montrachet, world famous wine

Together with Chassagne-Montrachet and Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet forms the golden triangle in the Côte d'Or of Burgundy. This is where the most sought-after Chardonnay wines in the world come from. Within these villages are several vineyards of great renown. The best are Grand Crus. But do not ignore the Premier Crus such as Les Referts! The difference is often in the soils. These can be very different on the old slopes. Chardonnay shows this beautifully.
