Description
Riesling from Ecker from the Wagram in Austria. 2021 was a top year in Austria. Smell and taste of stone fruit such as apricot, mango and peach. Green herbs. Balance, structure, with fine acids. Excellent Gutswein from Bernhard Ecker. 91/100 points at Falstaff. Austrian Riesling is just a little different than from Germany. The acids are often a bit softer.

Riesling, Ecker, Wagram. Ecker is nicer
This Riesling from Ecker comes from the Rieden (vineyards) Im Wasn and Steinberg . Im Wasn has a loess soil, is located at an altitude of 300m and faces southeast. The vines date from 2003. Steinberg has a stony soil of weathered granite and is located at an altitude of 320m, also facing southeast. Here the Riesling vines are even older: from 1993. So you can safely speak of vielles vignes or Alte Reben ! This gives less yield but more concentration and tension. Enjoy!
