Roter Veltliner Steinberg Grosse Reserve, breathtakingly beautiful wine .

Roter Veltliner is a unique and ancient white grape. It is almost exclusively planted in the wine region of Wagram (formerly Donauland), in Northern Austria. This Roter Veltliner comes from the Ried (vineyard) Steinberg and has, nomen est omen, a stony soil. Normally, in the Wagram you will mainly find mighty loess-clay soils, deposited by the formerly much wider Danube.

This truly sublime wine has a lot of tension, minerality and infinite length. Ripe apple, pear, almond, marzipan, nutty. And then a tension of fine acids, bitters and wet stone. Rich white wine, very special. Top wine Austria. Can easily mature for 15 years. For those who want a notch less, there is also Roter Veltliner Ried Steinberg and Roter Veltiner tout court.

In an English review: ' The top location Großweikersdorfer Steinberg, located at 320m above sea level facing south-east, with its warm days and cool nights, offers the best conditions to deliver something really big.' QED.
