Yet always elegant and pure thanks to beautiful acidity. Aged in old oak.

Trousseau wine from old vines

The Trousseau Singulier 2022 is a rigorous selection from plots of old, low-yielding Trousseau vines. This red wine comes from five beautiful terroirs: Rosières, Béranger, En Muzard, Corvées sous Curon, and Chevrette.

Vinification Tissot, Trousseau Singulier

Hand-destemmed to keep the grapes whole. Then, 70% macerates for one month in conical wooden vats. Pigeage (pushing the grapes under) is applied at the end of maceration. The remaining 30% macerates for three months in foeders. After fermentation, it is aged for one year in 10% new oak demi-muids (600l). The wine is barely sulfited.

Taste
Fine red forest fruit, currant, ink, graphite, earthy with herbs, mushroom, pepper. Loose tannins and beautiful freshness. Long, complex.

Delicious with
Pates, pigeon, duck, tagine, medium spicy oriental dishes

Interesting
Trousseau produces wine with a light red hue. The skin is therefore quite thin and gives off little colour. Yet the wine is intense.
