And that's exactly the point.

Wine has an image problem. Sommeliers in pinstripe suits blinding you with Latin terminology. Tasting notes full of "undertones of wet slate and dried fig". Glasses so large you could keep a goldfish in them.

At the end of the day, wine should simply taste good, shouldn't it? Without fuss. Without snobbery. With humour.

Who's behind Lekker Sapje?

Lekker Sapje was founded by Bernd Weeke, Magister Vini (https://www.magistervini.nl/). That last bit does sound a little classy — and it's actually an official title. But Bernd is simply someone who knows an enormous amount about wine and loves talking about it — without making you feel like you don't have a clue.

We import wines directly from small, passionate winemakers across Europe. Organic, biodynamic, sustainable — but above all: delicious. Small and big names. Always honest wines from people who pour their heart and soul into them.
