For many, Burgundy is still (or again) one of the most beautiful wine regions on earth. This is where very big names come from, with the absolute top ' DRC ', Domaine Romanée-Conti. The appellations have equally romantic names such as Gevrey-Chambertin, Puligny-Montrachet, Savigny-les-Beaune, Aloxe-Corton, etc.
Burgundy officially includes Beaujolais . However, most people consider the following appellations as 'Burgundy':
- Chablis
- C ô te d'Or - with the parts C ô te de Nuits and C ô te de Beaune
- C ô te Chalonnaise
