Jura
The Jura is one of France's most interesting wine regions. It lies roughly opposite Burgundy, on the other side of the Saône Valley. There are four sub-appellations: Côtes du Jura, Arbois, Château Chalon, and l'Etoile.
The most famous wineries are Ganevat, A&M Tissot, and Labet . You can find Tissot and Labet at Lekker Sapje. Other good wineries from the Jura include Daniel Dugois, Lucien Aviet—we have both of them—and Berthet-Bondet.
The Jura region boasts several typical grape varieties: for white wines, Savagnin (Traminer). For red wines, Trousseau and Poulsard , also known as Plousard, are used. Other grape varieties include Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
