Sauvignon blanc, Winkler-Hermaden. Dry white wine from Austria. To be precise, from the Vulkanland-Styria wine region. That is known for very nice Sauvignon Blanc wine. This Sauvignon has a very pure style, full and fresh at the same time. This is their base wine, an organic Sauvignon blanc with a gossamer structure, typical Sauvignon aromas such as grass and green apples. Also nice and soft. Not so well known, but Vulkanland-Steiermark is a top wine region for seriously beautiful Sauvignon blanc. And Winkler-Hermaden is considered one of the best wineries. It is located on an old volcano with beautiful views to Hungary and Slovenia. The volcanic soil contains many minerals and the Sauvignon thrives on them. The 4th generation is now at the helm, three brothers work closely together. Organic wine.
