San Martino Nebbiolo, Ricci, Piedmont
Description
San Martino Nebbiolo. Piedmont with a plan of its own
San Martino Nebbiolo from Ricci is a full-bodied, juicy red wine from the Colli Tortonesi in Piedmont. You may know Nebbiolo from Barolo and Barbaresco, but Daniele Ricci takes a different path here: generous and rich, with both power and freshness. A Nebbiolo for which you don't need years of patience.
- Origin: Colli Tortonesi, Piedmont, Italy
- Serve at: 12 C
- Drink: now until 2030+

In the glass, you taste a ripe, mouth-filling style with plenty of flavor. Not a shy Nebbiolo that only opens up after ten years, but rather a wine that invites you to open another bottle right now. Serve it with a hearty dish and take your time at the table.
Natural wine from Daniele Ricci
The story of Ricci began in 1929 at Cascina San Leto in Costa Vescovado. While his grandparents also kept animals and grew grain alongside their vines, Daniele turned the family business into a winery with a distinct voice of its own.
Carlo Daniele Ricci works organically and as naturally as possible, using indigenous yeasts and minimal intervention in the cellar. We know this independent spirit from his white Timorasso, but San Martino shows that he is just as happy to color outside the traditional lines with red wine.
