Description

Tissot Pinot Noir Sous la Tour, Jura, Arbois. "Sous la Tour" is an exceptional Pinot from the famous terroir of the same name, just below the Tower of Curon near Arbois. This red wine has an exceptionally pure and intense nose with fresh green herbs and black fruit, such as blackcurrant and blackberry, and notes of licorice, hazelnut, and lightly smoky wood.
This 2019 is a delicious, greedy red wine with tension and flowing tannins. Unfiltered and very pure. Those who are patient will enjoy even more later. Last bottle of the year!

  • Serving: 15 °C
  • Drink: now until 2030+

Great Pinot Noir from Arbois in the Jura

Winemaker Stéphane Tissot also proves to be far superior with red wines . The Pinot Noir vines are planted on the limestone and clay slopes of the famous "Corvées sous Curon" vineyard . The limestone soils give this Pinot Noir a mineral and earthy character.

This plot is dominated by an old tower above the vineyard. Hence the name of this red wine: "Sous la Tour." Also Demeter-certified, this biodynamic dry red wine is a must-have.

Hand-harvested. Whole bunches of grapes macerated for two months in conical wooden barrels. Then, after spontaneous fermentation, it is aged for a year in Burgundian barrels (228 liters), 30% of which are new wood.

Finally, a wine and food pairing suggestion for gourmets: duck breast, mandarin gastrique with mountain honey and rosemary, glazed turnips.

Tissot Pinot Noir Sous la Tour, Jura. Biodynamically produced dry red wine from France.

The special soils of clay, marl and limestone give Pinot Noir wines here in the Jura with a lot of character. Quirky winemakers like Stéphane Tissot make many Burgundy winemakers seriously jealous.
