Made by winery Vins la Botera from wine region DO Terra Alta. It is located near the famous wine region of Priorat and not far from Barcelona in the northeast of Spain. Terra Alta means 'high earth'. This mountainous wine region lies indeed quite high.

The DO Terra Alta would be the origin of the Grenache or Garnatxa, Garnacha. There is also Grenache blanc from L'Arnot, also very tasty.
