Description

Riesling trocken, Gerhard Trossen, Mosel, Germany. A pure, light, and beautifully balanced Riesling from the Mosel. Dry and refined, with ripe notes of peach, mango, passion fruit, and citrus, followed by a hint of almond and a long finish.
Malolactic fermentation and aging on the lees (spent yeast cells) give the wine a softer, rounder mouthfeel. Gerhard Trossen produces this wine biodynamically.

  • Serve at: 10 °C
  • Drink: now until 2031

Delicious with fish, shellfish, pasta alle vongole, fresh salads, or a charcuterie board.

Winery Gerhard Trossen

The vineyards of this family business cover a total of only 3.5 hectares. Nevertheless, this is a significant advantage: it allows them to personally care for all the grapes. Trossen processes only the best, hand-selected grapes from each vintage into wine.

The characteristic steep slopes, the slate soils, and not least the Mosel river itself give Trossen's wines an unmistakable character. This makes the hard work that viticulture in this area entails worth it with every sip. The vineyards Kröver Letterlay and Kröver Steffensberg in particular reflect the typical Mosel landscape and form the basis for wines that are distinctly mineral, lively, and full of character.
