Camin Larredya, Jurançon, France

Jurançon: the forgotten appellation of the Pyrenees
Camin Larredya is one of the leading producers of Jurançon, a small appellation in the Pyrenees near Pau in Southern France. Jurançon is a virtually unknown region outside of the French wine world, but it produces wines of exceptional originality — both dry (sec) and sweet (moelleux).
Gros Manseng and Petit Manseng
Camin Larredya works with the native grape varieties of Jurançon: Gros Manseng and Petit Manseng. Petit Manseng is the nobler of the two — thick-skinned, concentrated, and aromatic — and gives the famous sweet Jurançons their complexity of dried fruit, honey, and exotic spices. The dry versions are fresh, spicy, and complex with a distinct character of their own.
Jean-Marc Grussé: a master of the terroir
Camin Larredya is led by Jean-Marc Grussé, one of the most respected winemakers in the Pyrenees. His wines are internationally recognized as the benchmark for Jurançon.
