Cume do Avia, Ribeiro, Spain

Ribeiro: the oldest wine region in Galicia
Cume do Avia is located in Ribeiro, one of the oldest and most historic wine regions in Galicia, in northwestern Spain. Ribeiro is situated along the Avia and Miño rivers, with granite and slate terraces that produce wines of great minerality and freshness.
Treixadura and Caiño
Cume do Avia works with native varieties from Ribeiro: Treixadura for white — aromatic, full-bodied, and fresh with a distinct floral character — and native red varieties like Caiño and Sousón, which yield light, elegant red wines with spice and red fruit notes.
Restoring a forgotten tradition
Cume do Avia is an initiative by 4 friends who are reviving the ancient wine culture of Ribeiro — with respect for the local varieties and terroirs that have been cultivated for generations. They are restoring old, abandoned vineyards with heritage grape varieties.
