Domaine des Gaudrières, Coteaux du Layon, Loire, France
Anjou: the heart of the Loire
Domaine des Gaudrières is located in Anjou, one of the central appellations of the Loire Valley in west-central France. Anjou enjoys a temperate Atlantic climate with mild winters and warm summers, and is known for its diverse soils of shale, limestone, and tuffeau, which yield wines of great minerality and complexity.
Within Anjou lies the Coteaux du Layon appellation, for noble sweet wines.
Chenin Blanc
Domaine des Gaudrières produces a sweet wine from Chenin Blanc, the classic grape variety of Anjou — a semi-sweet white wine with light botrytis (noble rot), apple, quince, and honey.
Mineral and refined
Domaine des Gaudrières crafts dessert wine that reflects the elegance and minerality of Anjou — soft and fresh, semi-sweet, precise, and terroir-driven. View the wine from Domaine des Gaudrières →
