Winemaker Daniel Dugois of Domaine Dugois, Jura, France

Jura: idiosyncratic and inimitable

Domaine Dugois is based in the Jura, the small but distinctive wine region in Eastern France between Burgundy and the Swiss border. The Jura is home to unique indigenous varieties and a wine style — the oxidative sous voile method — that is not applied anywhere else in the world in the same way.

Trousseau, Poulsard, and Savagnin

At Domaine Dugois, Daniel Dugois works with the indigenous varieties of the Jura: Trousseau and Poulsard for light, elegant red wines with red fruit and earthy notes, and Savagnin for the characteristic nutty, oxidative white wines for which the Jura is world-famous. The famous Vin Jaune — the most iconic wine of the region — is also part of Dugois' repertoire.

Craftsmanship and authenticity

Domaine Dugois is an authentic Jura producer that continues the region's traditions with conviction. Daniel Dugois learned the trade at Tissot.
