Maçanita, Portugal

Portugal from north to south
Maçanita is the project of winemaker Antonio Maçanita and his sister Joanna, who crafts wines in multiple regions of Portugal such as the Douro and the Azores. The philosophy is simple: let the terroir speak and work with the best indigenous grape varieties from each region.
Indigenous Portuguese varieties
Maçanita works with a wide selection of indigenous Portuguese grape varieties — from Arinto and Viosinho in the north to Aragonez and Trincadeira in the south. Each variety tells a different story about the Portuguese landscape and climate.
Accessible and authentic
Maçanita wines are accessible but never boring — always with a distinct Portuguese character and an honest expression of the terroir.
