Douro: the kingdom of Port and great red wines

Quinta da Levandeira is located in the Cima Corgo, the central valley of the Douro and the most renowned sub-region for Port in Northern Portugal. The steep slopes along the Douro River, with their poor schist soils, are the setting for wines of great concentration and character.

Port and dry wines

Quinta da Levandeira produces both classic Tawny Port and dry red and white wines under the DR label. The red wines are made from the typical Douro varieties Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Roriz — powerful, full of ripe dark fruit with a nice structure. The white DR Branco is made from Rabigato, Malvasia Fina, and Viosinho: fresh and aromatic with pear, melon, and citrus.
