Valencia: sun and character

Sant Pere is a winemaker in the Valencia region in eastern Spain. Valencia has a warm Mediterranean climate with plenty of sun and little rain, but the higher altitudes and the sea breeze provide enough freshness to create expressive, balanced wines.

Indigenous Valencian varieties

Sant Pere works with indigenous varieties from the region such as Bobal — a dark, tannin-rich grape with a distinctly fruity and spicy character — and other local varieties that reflect the identity of Valencia. The red wine we have is made from Monastrell and Tempranillo.
