Nahe: the dry Riesling specialist

Weingut Martin Tesch is located in Langenlonsheim in the Nahe region of Rhineland-Palatinate. Tesch is known as one of Germany's most idiosyncratic and uncompromising Riesling producers—with a distinct preference for dry, terroir-driven styles.

Riesling and nothing else

Winemaker and microbiologist Martin Tesch produces exclusively white wines: dry Riesling from several plots along the Nahe. Each plot—from loess-rich plains to steep slate slopes—yields a different expression of the variety. The wines are direct, precise, and uncompromisingly dry, with a minerality typical of the Nahe. In addition, he also makes a Blanc de Noir from Spätburgunder.

Idiosyncratic and recognizable

Tesch works with a recognizable label and a clear philosophy: minimal intervention, maximum terroir. Organic management and low yields are a matter of course. View all wines from Weingut Martin Tesch →
