A particularly beautiful red wine made from the Samsó grape (also known as Carignan, or Cariñena in Spanish), and from old vines (60 years old). Spontaneously fermented and unfiltered. Maria Ganxa Samsó, Pascona, Montsant

This dry red wine from northeastern Spain is biodynamic . It is made with a short maceration of three days, spontaneous fermentation, and subsequent malolactic fermentation. This wine is bottled unfiltered. It comes from the DO Montsant, south of Barcelona.

Aromas of red fruit and roses, hints of herbs and spices, and some wild yeast. Taste: fruity with violets and roses, fresh style. This red wine can also be enjoyed slightly chilled. The climate is continental-Mediterranean with cold winters and hot summers. Spanish red wine from fairly old vines (60 years old) . Samsó, also known as Carignan/Cariñena. Another name is Mazuelo .

Winemaker Toni Ripoll cultivates 14 hectares of vineyards in Montsant with clay soils, which also contain llicorella (known from the neighbouring Priorat), limestone and granite, which provide depth, minerality and freshness.
