Spätburgunder Goldkaul, a beautiful red wine from Julia Bertram and her husband, Benedikt Baltes. This German wine comes from the beautiful Ahr wine region, a tributary of the Rhine. Goldkaul (gold pit) is a small, extremely steep vineyard near Dernau, facing due south.
This red wine stands out especially for its delicate forest fruit and spicy notes. Many consider it one of the finest wines from the Ahr. Spätburgunder is a German Pinot Noir. Bertram-Baltes has been fully organic since 2020.
