Spätburgunder Goldkaul, very nice red wine from Julia Bertram and her husband Benedikt Baltes. This German wine comes from the Ahr wine region. Goldkaul (gold pit) is a small super steep vineyard near Dernau and is located due south.
This red wine stands out with fine forest fruit and spiciness. One of the most beautiful wines of the Ahr according to many. Spätburgunder is German Pinot noir. Bertram-Baltes has been completely converted to organic viticulture since 2020.
