Description
Traminer, Winkler-Hermaden, Austria . A unique, dry white wine from Austria. Made from the Traminer grape from the top winery Winkler-Hermaden. With beautiful aromas of stone fruit (apricot, peach), mint, and light oak notes. Fine structure, with lovely acidity, a slight bitterness, and a long finish. An exciting wine!
This wine comes from the Grand Cru Ried (vineyard) Kirchleiten , atop an ancient volcano. It's matured in oak barrels from our own forests. This organic wine is grown on volcanic soil, in idyllic Vulkanland-Styria in southeastern Austria.

Winkler-Hermaden makes a fantastic dry white organic wine from the Traminer grape. Traminer (Savagnin) is relatively unknown, but this grape produces a very special white wine with plenty of minerality and tension. Traminer is also known as Savagnin in the Jura and Savoie.
Organic wine from volcanic soil in Vulkanland-Styria. From the Grosse STK-Lage (vineyard) Ried Kirchleiten . Comparable to Grand Cru . STK stands for Styrian Classic , a local wine quality mark with strict quality standards.
