Vinho Verde, Quinta de Linhares, Portugal . Super delicious Vinho Verde ! A fresh, fruity, and above all , cheerful white wine without pretense. Delicious on its own, on the beach, or on a boat. This Vinho Verde is as fresh as Sauvignon Blanc, but fuller, softer, and richer with a salty note. Super juicy and light. From the Quinta de Linhares winery, which also makes beautiful varietal white wines from typical Portuguese grapes: Loureiro, Azal, and Avesso. We have those too!

Vinho Verde Escolha

A delicious, soft, refreshing summer and terrace wine from northwest Portugal, from the DO Vinho Verde, Sousa subregion (see map). Vinho Verde means green wine , but Vinho Verde refers to a wine region , not the name of the wine itself.
The winery is Quinta de Linhares from the Vinho Verde sub-region of Sousa. White wine from Portugal. Only 11.5% . Portuguese white wine.

Many grape varieties, especially white ones, grow here, and one Vinho Verde wine can be completely different from another. The most famous Vinho Verde grapes are Loureiro, Treixadura, Arinto, Avesso, and Alvarinho (also found in Rias Baixas, Galicia, Northern Spain as Albari ñ o ).

Quinta de Linhares has 20 hectares of vineyards at altitudes of 250-300 meters in the municipality of Penafiel. The sandy loam soil is rich in lime, phosphorus, magnesium, and potassium, perfect for healthy grapes.
