Tissot, Chardonnay Patchwork, Arbois, Jura . For winemakers Bénedicte and Stéphane Tissot, the Chardonnay Patchwork is their 'entry level'. For many other winemakers, it is already a top wine! Downright flamboyant and seductively delicious. Very aromatic, generous, and at the same time that beautiful acidity and minerality . That is what makes Chardonnay at Tissot so special and great. Naturally biodynamic, spontaneous fermentation and matured for about 1 year in used barriques.

Tissot, king of exciting Chardonnay

Tissot makes a wide range of brilliant wines : Savagnin (aka Traminer), Trousseau, Poulsard, Pinot noir, Vin Jaune, Crémants, Macvin. But the greatest wines are the fabulous Chardonnays, They offer both terroir expression with enormous richness, as well as sublime elegance through fine acidity and minerality. Without doubt belonging to the very very most beautiful from the Jura.

At Tissot they also like to experiment. For example, they let some wines mature in large 400-liter amphorae, which gives the delicate character even more space. Look at the red Trousseau Amphore.

Jura, worth discovering!

The Jura is a beautiful holiday area anyway. But the Jura wines are not yet as well known in the Netherlands as the Jura cheeses (Morbier, Bleu de Gex, Comté, Crémeux du Jura). They are at many star restaurants.
Within the Jura there are several sub-appellations. These are: Côtes du Jura , Arbois, Château - Chalon and the small L'Etoile. In addition, there is Macvin du Jura and Crémant du Jura. We also have Macvin and Crémant from Tissot and they are really great!
