Tissot, Chardonnay Patchwork, Arbois, Jura . For winemakers Bénédicte and Stéphane Tissot , the Chardonnay Patchwork is their entry-level wine. It's already a superb wine for many wine lovers! Truly flamboyant and seductively delicious. Highly aromatic, generous, yet with wonderful acidity and minerality. That's what makes Tissot's Chardonnay so special and magnificent . Naturally biodynamic, spontaneously fermented, and aged for about a year in used barriques.

Tissot, king of exciting Chardonnay

Tissot produces a wide range of brilliant wines : Savagnin (aka Traminer), Trousseau, Poulsard, Pinot Noir, Vin Jaune, Crémants, and Macvin. But the very best wines are the fabulous Chardonnays. These offer both terroir expression with enormous richness and sublime elegance through fine acidity and minerality. Without a doubt, they are among the very finest wines from the Jura.

At Tissot, they also love to experiment. For example, they age some wines in large 400-liter amphorae, which further enhances their delicate character. Check out the red Trousseau Amphore.

Jura, worth discovering!

The Jura is a beautiful holiday region in itself. However, Jura wines aren't as well-known in the Netherlands as Jura cheeses (Morbier, Bleu de Gex, Comté, Crémeux du Jura). You do, however, see Jura wines at many Michelin-starred restaurants.
Within the Jura region, there are several sub-appellations. These include: Côtes du Jura , Arbois, Château - Chalon, and the tiny L'Etoile. There's also Macvin du Jura and Crémant du Jura. We also have Macvin and Crémant du Tissot, and they're truly superb!
