A&M Tissot, Chardonnay Sursis, Château-Chalon, Jura . Sursis loosely translates to "postponement," "postponed." A fitting name for this stunningly beautiful Chardonnay from Château-Chalon, actually a Savagnin appellation in the Jura. Stéphane Tissot nevertheless found the terroir perfect for Chardonnay, and the result is this wild gem. Concentrated with creamy flavors yet fresh, with a distinctive salty undertone. This is a unique wine, wild and impetuous , with that classic Jura vibe .

Château -Chalon may not be on the label...
The Chardonnay Sursis is one of Tissot's most interesting Chardonnay wines . It's not a Chardonnay from Arbois, where Tissot has most of its vineyards, but from the Château-Chalon appellation. Château-Chalon, however, is actually only used for wines made from the Savagnin grape (also known as Traminer).
Tissot found the terroir too interesting not to use Chardonnay here. Château-Chalon may not be on the label, but in any case, this is an absolute gem of a wine from this beautiful Jura town.
It's a wine made from old-vine Chardonnay . Concentrated yet fresh, with a salty minerality, apple and cinnamon, and hints of regional "fino sherry" savoriness. The wine has great depth, lingers after every sip, and feels serious and complex.
