A distinctive, rich, and highly complex Chardonnay from Stéphane Tissot. Ripe, full, both round and taut, with delicate minerality and acidity, delicate bitterness, floral notes, melon, hazelnut, chamomile, and chalky notes.
The wine is aged for two years in 228-liter oak Burgundy barrels (called "pièces"), a third of which are new. This Chardonnay is perfectly balanced. Truly exceptional. The best Michelin-starred restaurants fight for it! Unfortunately, Tissot doesn't produce many bottles.

Clos de la Tour du Curon, mythical vineyard

This dry white wine comes from a unique, south-facing vineyard, planted by Stéphane Tissot himself in 2002. He chose a wide genetic diversity of Chardonnay vines. The plantings are also very dense, with 12,000 vines per hectare.
As a result, the vines have to fight for water and nutrients: their roots go deep. Furthermore, there's no room for a tractor, so everything has to be done by hand. That's another reason why Stéphane Tissot works with a horse .

The vineyard is located right next to an old tower: the Tour du Curon , north of Arbois. Over the years , Stéphane Tissot has gradually renovated this tower.
Characteristic are the old limestone soils from the Bajocian , in the middle of the Jurassic period (170 million years ago). Ideal for Chardonnay. There's a special atmosphere here. Winemaker Stéphane Tissot believes this vineyard is indeed comparable to the very best in Burgundy in terms of status and class .
