Tissot, Trousseau Singulier, Jura. Unprecedentedly rich Trousseau. Young it produces great fruit. But it can also mature beautifully. Dry red wine from the best Trousseau vines from various vineyards. Red is modern with Stéphane Tissot with deep, refreshing fruit, never heavy. Complex, intense red wine. But always elegant and pure due to beautiful acids. Matured on old wood.

Trousseau wine from old vines

The Trousseau Singulier 2020 is a strict selection from plots of old Trousseau vines that are not very productive. This red wine comes from 5 beautiful terroirs: Rosières, Béranger, En Muzard, Corvées sous Curon and Chevrette.

Vinification Tissot, Trousseau Singulier

Manually destemmed to keep the grapes whole. Then 70% gets 1 month of maceration (soaking) in conical wooden barrels. Pigeage (pushing the grapes) at the end of the maceration. The remaining 30% gets 3 months of maceration in foeders. After fermentation follows maturation of 1 year in 10% new oak demi-muids (600l). Hardly any sulphites have been added to the wine.

Stéphane Tissot is best known for his unparalleled Chardonnays . But he certainly also makes very interesting red wines such as this Trousseau Singulier. His wines of Pinot noir and Poulsard are also worth mentioning!

Taste
Fine red forest fruit, currant, ink, graphite, earthy with herbs, mushroom, pepper. Loose tannins and beautiful freshness. Long, complex.

Delicious with
Pates, pigeon, duck, tagine, medium spicy oriental dishes

Interesting
Trousseau produces wine with a light red hue. The skin is therefore quite thin and gives off little colour. Yet the wine is intense.
