Red and black cherries, blackberries, violets, graphite and ink, mineral. At only 13.5%. Despite the hot climate here. Fine freshness, refined, balanced, rich and layered, beautiful tannins, challenging. Schatz is a very small winery (3 hectares) that produces great wines! Biodynamic wine .
Acinipo is chamomile . Schatz uses it as one of his biodynamic remedies against diseases and pests in his vineyard. This Lemberger is a biodynamic wine. Also try his sublime Petit Verdot.
The Schatz family originally came from South Tyrol (Trentino), the German-speaking part of northern Italy near the Dolomites. The family eventually settled in southern Germany, in Korb (state of Baden-Württemberg), and has specialized in winemaking since 1641. Friedrich Schatz moved to Spain.
