Description

Albariño, Xangall, Rías Baixas, Spain. Delicious biodynamic orange wine from a tiny winery. Dried apricots, very ripe stone fruit, a touch of tropical, slightly sweet, vegetables, citrus, lemon peel, and a very light nutty note. Long and persistent finish, a real treat!

Xangall means gentle, loving

Winemaker Begoña Troncoso : "I never imagined that wine would be my world and that I would make wine, which is now my great passion. I married a wonderful man from a family of harvesters. And decided to continue their tradition. But in my own way. With the help of my daughter Mencía and my husband Menuel, we are committed to organic wine production.
We are now the only biodynamic winery near Arbo (Pontevedra). In the two hectares of vineyard we cultivate, not a single chemical or synthetic substance is used. Working in the vineyard is all about observation, so to speak. So, of everything that develops there.
I nurture the vines with preparations and hydroalcoholic extractions. Made from nettles, eucalyptus, and salvia, among other things. Xangall in our dialect means "careful, loving, like our way of doing things."

Rías Baixas

Albariño is the typical wine grape of the Rías Baixas wine region, which literally means "low banks." Rías Baixas is located in northwestern Spain, in Galicia, just north of Porto, Portugal. In Portugal, the grape is also known as Alvarinho . Alba comes from the Latin word "white."

More information about this delicious juice

Taste
Fresh and soft. Salty tones, apricot, herbs. Also some spice through mini-tannins. Rich and full, very special!

Delicious with
Everything from the sea. Lighter poultry, pastas.

Interesting
Xangall uses a millennia-old pruning method: Alberello. The vines grow to about 2 meters high and are then guided over wires. The grapes hang underneath. This keeps them cooler and the wine fresher.
