Description
A&M Tissot, Chardonnay Rosé Massale, Jura 2022. A brilliant and unique dry Chardonnay from top winemakers Stéphane and Bénédicte Tissot from the Arbois region in the Jura wine region. Made from a rare, spontaneous clone, Rosé Massale . The wine therefore has a light pink hue , similar to a Blanc de Noir.

Through so-called " mass selection " from 40 vines, Tissot was able to propagate this clone and plant it in various plots with 60% clay and 40% limestone. Ideal for Chardonnay. This wine is more aromatic than you're used to with Chardonnay. A bit more bitterness and freshness make it extra exciting. Overall, quite powerful, with beautiful balance and tension. A favorite of top sommeliers, and rightly so!

Domaine A&M Tissot—now run by Benédicte and Stéphane Tissot—is located in the small wine village of Montigny-les-Arsures , just north of Arbois. This is also the birthplace of the world-famous Louis Pasteur . Arbois is considered the capital of the Jura wine region. It also has its own appellation. Other Jura appellations include Côtes du Jura, Château -Chalon , and L'Étoile .
Besides these regional appellations, there is also Macvin du Jura and Vin Jaune . Macvin is a so-called mistelle: a blend of unfermented grape juice with locally produced wine alcohol. Vin Jaune is very special and made from the Savagnin grape. Finally, there is a special dessert wine: Vin de Paille (literally: hay wine).
