Douro Branco, very nice white wine

This bone-dry white wine is made from the wine grapes Viosinho (70%), Codega do Larinho (20%) and Gouveio (10%). Gouveio is known in Galicia (northwest Spain) as Godello . Gouveio / Godello gives creaminess and thickness to the wine. The Viosinho and Codega provide freshness and fruit.
Exciting rich wine with nice crisp minerality, worth discovering. Portugal is one of the most exciting wine countries of the moment.

Vinification

For this white wine (Branco) the grapes were harvested by hand. The entire bunch was gently pressed, so with the stalks. This ensures that the juice runs off more easily and also gives nice bitters. After a cold soak with the skins and stalks, the spontaneous fermentation followed and a maturation of 6 months, all on stainless steel.
