Description

Fendant Veilles Vignes, Beudon . A very fine dry white wine from Switzerland. Biodynamic wine from the Domaine de Beudon winery in Valais (Wallis) in Switzerland. Made from Fendant (Chasselas/Gutedel). Completely different from Alsace or Baden. Subtle yet powerful, an elegant wine with fine fruit, richness, and plenty of tension thanks to beautiful acidity. It can age for years. A favorite of top sommeliers. A great wine . Try other vintages as well; it's fun to compare!

Fendant aka Gutedel aka Chasselas

A beautiful dry white wine from Fendant, also known as Gutedel, or Chasselas. Domaine de Beudon operates biodynamically. Alpine mountain wine from vineyards at altitudes of 700-900 meters. Accessible only by private cable car or a small mule track. Hence: "Vignes dans le ciel" (vineyards in the sky). Very labor-intensive and worth every penny.
This Fendant boasts fine white fruit, minerality, tension from acidity and bitterness, and a long finish. Spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel, malolactic fermentation, and one year of aging on the lees, without batonnage. This Swiss wine is biodynamically produced and bottled unfiltered.
