Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris) Reserve from Austria. A rich, round, and full-bodied white wine from wine talent Bernhard Ecker . Fermentation takes place in steel tanks and aging in large 500-liter wooden barrels (foeders). This dry wine has beautiful ripe white fruit, slightly exotic, nutty aromas, round and balanced with subtle toasted aromas.
Fantastic with whitefish and shellfish, poultry, braised veal, and also with lighter game and pasta dishes. It also pairs well with spicy and spicy Asian cuisine. A moderate alcohol content of 13%. Falstaff awards this wine 93 points (out of 100).

Grauburgunder Reserve of the Ried Schlossberg

The Schlossberg is also historically known as "Vogtei," "Winkelberg," or "Hausberg." This vineyard is located near the village of Mitterstockstall at 240 meters above sea level, in the heart of the Wagram DAC. This vineyard has a gently sloping southwest-facing slope and a thick layer of fertile loess soil with limestone. The local microclimate is warm to hot. In addition to this Grauburgunder Reserve, Ecker also grows Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Gelber Muskateller, Zweigelt, and St. Laurent here.

"Leuchtendes helles Gelbgrün. Gelbe Tropenfrucht, zart nach Maracuja, etwas Ananas, a Hauch von Orangenschappen und Quitte [quince]. Saftig, extraktsüß, balanciert und engmaschig, white Steinobst, mineralischer Nachhall, good Speisenbegleiter, sicheres Reifepotenzial."
