Riesling Auslese, Wilhelmshof
Dessert wine from Riesling grapes from the Lagen Frankweiler Kalkgrube and Petersbuckel near Siebeldingen. Wilhelmshof not only makes beautiful Riesling but also wonderful Weissburgunder (Pinot blanc) and Spätburgunder (Pinot noir). Wilhelmshof is also one of the best Sekt makers in Germany. The winemakers learned it in Champagne and of course use that knowledge extensively.
