The Grosses Gewächs Lage Felsenberg near the village of Schlossböckelheim is one of the very best Lagen of the Nahe and perhaps even the whole of Germany. Winemaker Andi Schneider is a young wine wizard with Riesling. His younger brother Christoph takes care of the vineyards and prefers to stay in the background. They form the third generation of this winery. Put this together and you get something very special.
Experts and wine writers have noticed this too: Andi Schneider was named Aufsteiger des Jahres by the renowned wine magazine Vinum. The wine guides Eichelmann, Gault Millau and wine writer Stuart Pigott are also full of praise. And rightly so! Also try Schneider's other wines, not only Riesling but also Blanc de Noir from Spätburgunder, for example.
