Rosé, Clos Canarelli, Figari

Canarelli took over the family business in the 90s. He switched to organic and biodynamic winemaking. He also brought back old grape varieties with astonishing results. The cellar is ultramodern with temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks but also oak barriques, foeders and - now hip again - concrete eggs and amphorae.

Winemaker Yves Canarelli belongs to the absolute top of Corsica, together with Antoine Arena and Comte Abbatucci . Many sommeliers are lyrical about the wines of these Corsican winemakers. Canarelli is full of energy and does everything to make top quality wine. And you can taste that, also in this phenomenal rosé wine from Niellucciu , Sciaccarellu and Grenache .

The vines for this rosé from Clos Canarelli are on granite soil. It is a blend of 50% Sciaccarellu, 30% Niellucciu and 20% Grenache. The grape bunches are pressed directly and fermented immediately. A large part also undergoes malolactic fermentation to soften the acids.
