Saint-Romain, Domaine Gauffroy, Bourgogne . Beautiful white wine from Chardonnay . Classic style, so with fine acids and freshness in addition to toast, butter and creaminess. Saint-Romain is also becoming increasingly interesting as a wine region. It is located northwest of Meursault, in the extension of the side valley in which Auxey-Duresses is also located. Saint Romain is therefore part of the Côte de Beaune .

Burgundy, classic, but under pressure
Burgundy has suffered a lot from extreme weather in recent years. Such as night frost and hail in June that damages the plants. Extreme heat and drought. Or downpours at exactly the wrong time. This limits the yield and demands the utmost from the winemakers. In the meantime, there are more and more filthy rich people worldwide who pay a lot of money for beautiful Burgundy.
