Not so well-known, but Vulkanland-Steiermark is a top wine region for stunning Sauvignon Blanc . Winkler-Hermaden is considered one of the best wineries here. It sits atop an ancient volcano with stunning views all around. The volcanic soil is rich in minerals, and Sauvignon Blanc thrives there. The fourth generation is now at the helm; three brothers work closely together. Organic wine.
