Description
Savennières, Domaine des Deux Vallées, Loire . Still relatively unknown Savennières from the Loire. But this dry white wine from the Chenin blanc wine grape can compete with big names. Also in terms of price/quality this wine is unbeatable. Not for nothing the favorite Savennières of top sommeliers . Winner of the Prix des Sommeliers at Proefschrift wine competition! In short, a super wine. White wine from France.

Savennières, Domaine des Deux Vallées, Loire
The New York Times wrote: 'The thinking person's white wine' . This dry white wine is very full and rich. Partly matured in new oak barriques (wooden wine barrels of 224 l).
But what exactly makes this Savennières so good that it is the favorite of Dutch top sommeliers? Well, prepare yourself for candied fruit, very elegant wood tones, honey, freshness. Also especially a lot of tension and minerality, roundness and a long, long aftertaste. Really a top this Chenin blanc wine.
Review Perswijn (16 points out of 20): Ripe citrus fruit, bruised apple, brandy, butter in the nose. Taste: intense, strong, broad, good acids, long.
Domaine des Deux Vallée is located in Anjou, overlooking both the Loire and Layon rivers. Hence the name Deux Vallées. They cultivate vineyards scattered around the villages of St. Aubin, Rochefort, Chaume and Savennières.
Savennières has a very diverse soil. So you can find many different wine styles there.
