Very elegant dry red wine of 100% Tibouren and that is rarely seen. Cult wine! Beautiful play of many flavors: spicy, berries, rich and full and at the same time light. Tibouren originates from Mesopotamia and ended up in Italy via the Greeks and in Provence via the Romans.

Tibouren was almost extinct and was saved by André Roux of Clos Cibonne in the 1930s. All Tibouren grapes at other winemakers are descended from those of Clos Cibonne. Fortunately, because this is a beautiful and surprisingly elegant red wine for Provence! In Liguria, Tibouren is also known as Rossese di Dolceaqua. Also try the beautiful Tibouren rosé.

Interesting
The name Tibouren refers to the Tiber, the river that flows through Rome. Via the Romans (Caesar) Tibouren ended up in Provence. The grape was almost extinct. Until Clos Cibonne started working with it again. Now it is a favorite of top sommeliers.
