Tissot Pinot noir Sous la Tour, Jura, Arbois. "Sous la Tour" is an exceptional Pinot from the famous terroir of the same name, just below the tower of Curon near Arbois. This red wine has an extremely pure and intense nose with fresh green herbs, and black fruit. Such as blackcurrant and blackberries and notes of liquorice, hazelnut and slightly smoky wood.
This 2019 makes greedy, delicious red wine with tension and crumbly tannins. Unfiltered and very pure. Those who have patience, will enjoy even more later.

Great Pinot Noir from Arbois in the Jura

Winemaker Stéphane Tissot also proves to be far above average with red wines. The Pinot Noir vines are planted on the limestone and clay slope of the famous vineyard "Corvées sous Curon" . The limestone soils make this Pinot Noir mineral and earthy.

This plot is dominated by an old tower above the vineyard. Hence the name of this red wine: "Sous la Tour" . Also Demeter certified, biodynamic dry red wine.

Manual harvest. Maceration of whole bunches of grapes for 2 months in conical wooden vats. Then, after spontaneous fermentation, maturation for one year in Burgundian barrels (228l), of which 30% new wood.

Finally, a food and wine suggestion for gourmets: duck breast, mandarin gastrique with mountain honey and rosemary, glazed turnips.
