Description
Würzer Kabinett, dessert wine. A sweet wine from Germany, produced by the charming Storr winery. A very fine, fresh, sweet dessert wine made from the Würzer grape. This wine comes from the Rheinhessen wine region. Würzer is a cross between Gewürztraminer and Müller-Thurgau (Rivaner, itself a cross). It has that wonderful "Spiel" of sweet and tangy notes. Relatively low in alcohol and delicious with tarte tatin, vanilla ice cream, and blue cheeses.

Würzer Kabinett, dessert wine 'Kabi'
This wine, made from the Würzer grape, is a real treat! Sweet, but not too sweet, white wine with an invigorating freshness. Wonderfully full and rich. This wine is a Kabinett, affectionately known as "Kabi," the first step in Qualitatswein mit Prädikat (QmP). It is followed by Spätlese (late harvest), Auslese, Beerenauslese (BA), and Trockenbeerenauslese (TBA). The latter two are noble sweet. There is also Eiswein, but it is free from botrytis.
This sweet wine comes from Rheinhessen, Germany. Bernhard Storr—and now also his two daughters—make various white and red wines here from typical German grape varieties. For reds, for example, Dornfelder and Portugieser, and for whites, Rivaner, Scheurebe, and Riesling. But they also make many wines from lesser-known German grape varieties, such as Acolon (red), Faberrebe, Huxelrebe, Kanzler, and of course, this Würzer.
