Really a special 'juice' this! Blend of 80% Gewürztraminer and 20% Gelber Traminer (Savagnin). Unique wine from Vulkanland-Styria. Very different from Alsace, for example.

Gewürztraminer from volcanic soil

The winemakers of Winkler-Hermaden live in a beautiful wine castle, on top of an old volcano in the village of Kapfenstein. The soil is of course volcanic and full of minerals. The vineyards are located on the slopes of the volcano and also a little further in lower areas near Klöch. That's where this wine comes from.
