Riesling x Sylvaner, Beudon, Valais. Brilliant mountain wine.

Riesling x Sylvaner is also known as Müller-Thurgau. This grape variety was developed by Müller from Thurgau in Switzerland. However, you will mainly find the grape in Germany. There, they spell Sylvaner as Silvaner, by the way.

Due to the high altitude (approx. 900m), the mountain climate with large temperature fluctuations, and the biodynamic methods, this white Riesling x Sylvaner from Beudon is quite an experience! Full and rich, but also slender and elegant. Top sommeliers are queuing up for it. Dry white wine from Valais, also known as Wallis, wine from Switzerland. Biodynamic wine.

Unfortunately, the winemaker of Domaine de Beudon, Jacques Granges, passed away in an accident in the mountain vineyard. His wife and daughter have been making the wines ever since. It is not for nothing that the label says 'Vignes dans le Ciel', vineyards in the sky. The vineyards are only accessible by cable car or via a quiet donkey path. That makes Beudon even more special!

Interesting
The vineyards of Domaine de Beudon are situated at a lonely altitude (approx. 900m). The vineyards are only accessible via a goat path or by their own cable car. Madness, therefore, but the result is stunningly beautiful. A hidden gem that even many top sommeliers do not know.
